Longtime Chicagoans Tony and Caroline Galzin, for example, plan to open The Cardinal, a Belgian cocktail bar in The Nations, just a short walk from their Nashville restaurant, Nicky's Coal Fired. And Keith Zust, who left Chicago to open Sea Salt alongside chef and business partner Mike Haggerty, recently told me he hopes to start construction on at least one more restaurant this year, with an ultimate goal of five in the market.

Sea Salt has taken up residence in a nineteenth century building on Third Avenue North, adjacent to Printer’s Alley. Longtime Nashvillians will recall it as the site of Boots Randolph’s dinner club circa 1978-95. In remodeling, the partners retained much of the structure’s original integrity, while adding a rustic French feel.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Nashville and historic Printers Alley, the best thing since French bread has arrived in Tennessee. The grand opening of Nashville’s newest flavorful indulgence, Sea Salt, is scheduled for on Monday, April 24. Sea Salt will open its doors to the public with a ribbon cutting ceremony at noon, a few appetizers to tease the palate and a tour of the new digs.
